Circuit presentation

Born from the will and passion of private investors and open since 2006, the Circuit de Bresse is a 55 hectare mechanical sports complex , one of a kind organized around 3 complementary activity poles (Speed, Karting and Safety) , allowing to combine passion for motor sports, leisure, and development needs.

After the Auto / Moto speed track in 2006 and the Karting track in 2007, the opening of a 3rd development area dedicated to Safety and Prevention of Road Risk in 2010 allows the Circuit of Bresse to complete the triptych of his original project.

The Circuit de Bresse complex now offers an unrivaled multi-activity offer dedicated to both Motor sports and the challenges of Prevention and Road Safety (unique and exclusive concept in France to date for Safety).

LOGO CDB vitesse

Auto-motorcycle circuit

Training track 3000 meters long and 12 meters wide, approved by the FFSA and the FFM « More than 200km / h » and allowing several configurations from 1200 meters to 3000 meters (in 2 school tracks). The route includes slow bends, medium bends and fast bends with the main concern to offer maximum safety to users (pilots and vehicles) through very open and very secure surroundings.

Testing center

21,000m2 dedicated to the prevention of road risks. Our test center is a concept unique in France and a real platform dedicated to awareness and control of traffic and grip conditions that we encounter on a daily basis.

This complex includes several workshops:
  • A flat area of 130m x 40m
  • A flat area of 170m x 60m with a hydraulic skid simulator and obstacles
  • A 38m radius ring
  • A hill with a 9% gradient and a hairpin bend
  • An SUV, 4×4 initiation track

A Circuit Respecting Nature

STUDY AND DESIGN PHASE OF THE BRESSE CIRCUIT

In a rather unique approach, the Circuit de Bresse resolutely wished to place the challenges of sustainable development and the preservation of the environment at the heart of its project.

Anxious to reconcile the economic interest of the project for the region and its impact on the environment, the builders of the Circuit de Bresse took into account, from the feasibility studies, all the interactions that could interfere with the existing initial state. Thus, from an impact study taking into account water quality, air quality, noise, landscape, natural environment and heritage, a large number of measures were defined to reduce or largely offset the constraints created inherent in a project of this type.

Deforestation has been reduced to the minimum actions imposed by security; priority has been given to the reconstruction of green spaces, giving priority to the revegetation of very large unsealed areas.

The adaptation to the ground of the structures and infrastructures was also imagined according to a harmonious integration with the landscape and the Bressane architecture.

As for noise protection, it has been the subject of a special study by an independent firm in order to minimize any nuisances that may be added to those of the contiguous motorway. Thus, comforting structures of the merlon type and additional plantings greatly contribute to the reduction of these nuisances.

For water discharges, all regulatory provisions in accordance with the water law and Natura 2000, but also those which are simply useful, have been provided for in order to discharge into the natural environment only treated water at a controlled rate.

Finally, heritage has also been taken into account by preserving and renovating the farms and existing dwellings (dating from the 17th century) in the pure Bressane tradition.

WORK PHASE OF TRACKS AND CIRCUIT INFRASTRUCTURES

The Circuit de Bresse was built by minimizing material input as much as possible. Thus, in order to avoid inputs of thousands of tonnes of aggregates, the soil treatment solution in place was chosen; This made it possible, in addition to not taking natural materials from the region’s deposits, to avoid putting several hundred trucks on the road network for very long months.

The execution of the works was also subject to rigorous procedures limiting as much as possible the nuisances impacting on the quality of water, air and noise.

► BRESSE CIRCUIT OPERATION PHASE

In order to minimize noise pollution, the Circuit de Bresse clearly displays an emission limit of 95dB to its customers. In order to guarantee its applicability, the Circuit has invested in a real-time sound monitoring system (sensors within a perimeter of 1000m around the track) with alarm management and continuous recording (recordings transmitted voluntarily and periodically to the Prefecture – a unique approach in France).

In addition, the closed-circuit water recovery system makes it possible to better manage the watering needs of the test center tracks.

Finally, as all our visitors can congratulate themselves, the green spaces, tracks, infrastructures and surroundings are carefully maintained, giving our site an exceptional character, totally integrated into the landscape and the beauty of our region.
